Movin' on up!

I'm very pleased to announce the Davidson Photography has a new location! We are now located out of Colton, SD which is closer to Sioux Falls. Colton has the small-town atmosphere that we are partial to. We appreciate everyone's patience while we relocated.

As a result of the move, we now have a dedicated photo studio. This will allow us to be more flexible and have a cozy, spacious atmosphere to work and play!

Fall has always been my favorite time of year and this year was no exception. We photographed Jacob and Patrick, two seniors from Madison. We got some great shots on Lake Herman and out in the country at an old barn. I'll post these soon so you can view them.

We've recently come under some public scrutiny about our low prices. I just want to clarify with our customers that we do keep our prices low for a reason. We don't believe you should pay inflated prices and we understand not everyone can afford $2,000 for a wedding photographer, especially in today's economy. You are our target market. We may have to increase our rates from time to time, but we will always keep the needs of our customers in mind.

Thanks!

Random Update

I guess this is going to end up being a bi-monthly entry. We've been so busy!

We continue to make updates to our equipment and website. As I mentioned before, we are finalizing the new online ordering system. This system should go live by mid August. I'm exceptionally excited by this because it means (theoretically) it will be much easier for you to view your proofs and order your prints.

This month we had the opportunity to photograph Alyssa's senior portraits. We went to Memorial Park here in Madison, Lake Herman State Park, a few studio shots, and some shots by the train tracks. It was a very laid back session, which is how we like to do it. We experimented with lighting this time and got some unique results. Let us know what you think.

October is Davidson Photography's birthday! We're planning some exciting deals that should be mailed out to our past customers. If you're new to DP, we'll keep you informed on how you can save during the month of October!

If you have any questions or comments, please use the contact form to let us know your thoughts.

Thanks!

Home Improvement

Please forgive me, it's been over 2 months since I've written on the blog! Time goes way too fast!

At Davidson Photography, we are constantly trying new things and improving our business to better help the customers. Here are some examples of what we're improving:

  • COMING SOON! We are currently in the final developing stages of an online ordering system. What this means is that you'll be able to see your proofs online and then order directly from the website. Less confusion, more convenience! We're planning to roll it out soon, though no ETA has been set.
  • We now have dual camera coverage. That means at your next big event, we will have two cameramen getting the best shots from multiple angles.
  • The website for our Haute Photographique is near completion. Please contact us for inquiries about Haute Photographique.

If you have any questions or comments, please use the contact form to let us know your thoughts.

Thanks!

New Blog!

If you're new to this site, welcome. If you're a veteran, welcome to the new blog. In any case, welcome!

I decided it might be beneficial to keep our customers updated on changes going on here at Davidson Photography. Sometimes we redesign the site and I would like to explain why we made the changes. Now I'm able to do so with this blog. I also want to keep customers updated on new offers and discounts coming out. I will work on a separate coupons page soon. There's always things that change and improve.

The most recent change, which may not be exciting to you but very important, is that we will soon be able to print our own photos! Before we had to outsource (what a nasty word) our prints, but now we will be able to do it in-house. What this means for the customer is that you will be able to get your photos in a shorter timeframe than before. We're contstantly trying to update and streamline our operations to improve our customer service.

If you have any questions or comments, please use the contact form to let us know your thoughts.

Thanks!
